General Chex Quest Questions

What is Chex Quest HD by Chex Mix? How is today’s game different from the 1996 version?

Back by popular demand, Chex Mix has launched a free multiplayer version of the video game classic, Chex Quest. Fully embracing the nostalgia of the 90s, Chex Quest HD remasters the original ’96 video game with modern additions, such as updated HD graphics, multiplayer mode and the addition of five new playable Chex Mix characters. The Chex Mix character additions represent each of your favorite Chex Mix snack pieces and can be unlocked via unique character codes, while the original character, Fred Chexter, is free to all gamers upon launch. Play Chex Quest HD for free on STEAM at(https://store.steampowered.com/app/804270/Chex_Quest_HD/) and unlock playable characters with codes found on specially marked packages of Chex Mix or released on Chex Mix social channels.

Wasn't Chex Quest was made for Chex cereal? Why is the game relaunching with Chex Mix?

While the game originally launched with a single hero Chex cereal piece, that piece is now being joined by the Chex Mix Squadron, a band of five new and playable characters based on a variety of Chex Mix pieces. Together, the new heroic team is the perfect mix to save the universe.

Who did Chex Mix collaborate with to develop this game?

The Chex Mix team at General Mills partnered with both Flight School Studios and the original game creators to bring Chex Quest HD to its fully remastered state. The volunteer developers created the original game and updated it for 23+ years (including the release of Chex Quest 2 in 1997 and Chex Quest 3 in 2008) before it was passed off to Flight School Studios to add new characters, build out multiplayer mode and build cinematics. Chex Quest HD (now) is the first official relaunch of the game, and we are grateful for everyone who collaborated to develop and relaunch this game!
